Sharpe’s Pottery Museum
Design | Website Design and Build
During the COVID-19 pandemic Sharpe’s Pottery Museum in Swadlincote secured funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund.
Danielle Orme, a student at Burton and South Derbyshire College, worked on a live brief involving the refresh of Sharpe’s Pottery Museum’s visual identity.
As part of the refresh, Danielle chose a new colour palette and kept the font and kiln icon of the logo but added a rectangle of colour to give it a more contemporary feel, while still being recognisable to existing customers.
I created new designs across the museum, including posters, large display graphics, signage and literature. The new look and feel has also been applied across the website, to enhance the customer experience, as well as an iPad App for visitors to use.
As part of the redesign of the museum, The National Forest supplied me artwork and I designed a map and timeline graphics in their corporate style.
